After moving from Florida to Brockville, ON, John Jennings started his job search to find the right company, which led him to become a Help Desk Service Professional at OnServe. So what sparked his interest in the world of information technology? When he was 10 years old, he wrote his first program in QBasic. When he was 12 years old, he built his first computer.
Ultimately, he knew from a young age that technology would be apart of his career path. As an IT “jack of all trades,” he’s experienced in wiring, phones, programming, and security-related issues. He excels at explaining the “how” and “why” aspects of computer issues, as well as coming up with inventive solutions to common problems.
He enjoys programming and security as they involve a high degree of problem solving and “outside of the box” thinking. In fact, he’s placed 1st, for three years in a row, for Computer Concepts, Networking Concepts, and Network Design in the state of Florida for Future Business Leaders of America competitions.
Outside of the workplace, he’s passionate about technology in his day-to-day life as well. Aside from technology, he enjoys gaming, going outdoors to swim or kayak, and taking road trips to explore the area on the weekends.
